GP Explorer in Le Mans: everything about Squeezie's event
Squeezie's GP Explorer at Bugatti Circuit: format, tickets, accommodation, tips to enjoy the biggest French-speaking Twitch event.
GP Explorer, created by French YouTuber Squeezie and his team, has become one of France's most-watched events in just a few editions. Mixing motor racing, YouTube show and festival, it draws over 60,000 spectators to the Bugatti Circuit. Here's how to plan your weekend.
What is GP Explorer?
GP Explorer is a motor race created in 2022 by Squeezie (a YouTuber with over 18 million subscribers) together with GP Elite. Content creators and personalities compete on the Bugatti Circuit in Formula 4 cars, in front of a dedicated crowd and broadcast live on Twitch (breaking French viewership records every edition).
Why GP Explorer is a unique event
- Young and passionate crowd: mostly 15-30 year-olds, very festive, concert-like atmosphere.
- Twitch viewership record: over 1.2 million simultaneous viewers for the 2023 edition — the largest French-speaking audience on the platform.
- Affordable tickets: around €40 + free zones, unlike MotoGP or F1.
- American-style show: hosts, podiums, music, illuminated drones in the evening.
When is the next edition?
Past editions ran in October (2022, 2023) then September (2024). Exact dates for upcoming editions are usually announced on Squeezie's YouTube channel and the official website a few months ahead. Watch for the ticket release: everything goes in minutes.
Accommodation for GP Explorer
The event has grown massive, so accommodation fills up fast — though usually later than for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The crowd being fairly young, classic hotels aren't always the first choice; shared house rentals work great for groups of friends.
In a group, it's smarter
GP Explorer is lived together: many people come with their friend group or community. Sharing a large house lowers the per-person cost and extends the party.
Stay in Le Mans city
Saturday evening, the vibe spreads into the city: restaurants, bars, terraces. Staying in the centre lets you soak it up without driving.
Our house: perfect for a GP Explorer group
Our 9 private suites with en-suite bathrooms welcome up to 18 guests:

Tips for your GP Explorer weekend
- Be ready for ticket release: last year, everything sold in under 30 minutes.
- Take the T1 tram from Le Mans station (~20 min to the circuit, frequent trams). Avoids entrance and exit jams.
- Plan your return by car: as with major races, roads are overloaded at exit.
- Arrive Friday evening to enjoy the city before Saturday's crowd.
- Saturday night out: city-centre bars are packed — book if possible.
