GP Explorer: it's over after The Last Race 2025

GP Explorer is over. The third edition, called GP Explorer: The Last Race and held from 3 to 5 October 2025 at the Bugatti Circuit, lived up to its name: it was the last one. Here's a look back at three editions that left their mark on Le Mans — and at what keeps the circuit busy today.
Will there be another edition?
No. Squeezie designed the 2025 edition as a deliberate full stop, right down to its title: The Last Race. No new edition has been announced since, so there is no ticket release to watch out for. If you're searching for "GP Explorer 2026" or "next GP Explorer", the answer is simple: there won't be one.
The three editions in brief
- 2022 — the first: launched by French YouTuber Squeezie with content creators racing Formula 4 cars on the Bugatti Circuit, it broke the French-speaking Twitch record with over one million simultaneous viewers.
- 2023 — the confirmation: another massive success, peaking at over 1.3 million live viewers with packed grandstands in Le Mans.
- 2025 — The Last Race: from 3 to 5 October 2025, an expanded three-day format mixing races, on-track surprises and concerts. There was no edition in 2024.
What GP Explorer leaves behind
In three editions, the event introduced the Bugatti Circuit to a generation that wasn't necessarily into motorsport, and it showed that a Le Mans weekend is best planned like a festival: arrive by train, sleep in the city, take the tram to the circuit and skip the car entirely. That recipe works just as well for the circuit's other major events, which are very much alive.
What's still on at the Bugatti Circuit
Le Mans is not short of events — several of them draw far bigger crowds than GP Explorer ever did:
- The 24 Hours Motorcycle, in April: 100,000 spectators and a unique biker atmosphere.
- The French MotoGP, in spring: the best-attended Grand Prix of the championship.
- The 24 Hours of Le Mans, in June: the most famous endurance race in the world.
- Le Mans Classic, in summer: the classic-car gathering.
- The 24 Hours of Trucks, in September: the most family-friendly and affordable format.
Where to stay for a race weekend in Le Mans
The habit built during the GP Explorer years still holds: for a group, a large shared house costs far less than the same number of hotel rooms, and it lets you carry the evening on together.
